Dose de Estilo ...

Olá meninas
selecionei algumas coisinhas especiais
da editora de Moda Kate Davison Hudson
da revista Elle americana ...
... porque ela é uma It Girl ...

When I moved into my new apartment, closet (particularly accessories) space was of key importance. I dedicated a section of the wardrobe in my dressing area to jewelry and smaller accessories so I can open a drawer and see everything laid out clearly. I’m usually dressing in a hurry, so I like to see everything laid out in clear view so I can see all of the options, grab, and go!All, Various Designers

O closet da Girl ...

I’m more of a minimalist when it comes to jewelry. I usually stick to one or two statement pieces. And, I love to mix my fine with costume. I think when you're young, it feels fresh to mix costume pieces with your fine pieces. I always feel a little stuffy when I’m wearing too many ‘real’ jewels, so it’s nice to break it up and personalize your look with costume.
Jewelry, Various Designers

I’m also obsessed with vintage costume and fine jewelry and have boxes upon boxes of pieces I’ve collected and hunted down over the years. At the moment, I’m really into vintage Van Cleef, late 60’s-early 70’s compressed César pieces, and early 70’s signed Lanvin pieces.Jewelry, Various Designers

I love this dress. The way it drapes and folds seamlessly when you put it on is incredible; it’s the epitome of timeless elegance. I bought it in Paris last season and it’s so comfortable, I would wear it multiple times a week, if I could.Dress, Givenchy
#inline_01

This is Derek Lam from the Spring ’10 collection. It’s the dress incarnation of a classic trench coat. It’s such a chic, easy Spring piece that can carry-over from season to season.Dress, Derek Lam#inline_02

This Céline shopper was a must-have. I love the rich earth tones and the mix of leather/canvas textures. It’s exactly what I’m in the mood to carry for Spring; and, it’s large enough to justify it as a practical addition to my day-to-day wardrobe.
Boots, Giuseppe Zanotti for Balmain; Bag, Céline#inline_03

Tracy Smith, House of Lavande’s founder, is a genius at finding the chicest in the world of vintage and re-made costume jewels.
Necklace, House of Lavande#inline_04

I love an oversized statement ring. And, rings work well with my more minimalist mantra of referring to only one or two statement pieces at any one time. These are some of my more ‘baubly’ options that are actually huge in scale. The detail in the two unsigned vintage pieces is incredible, and they are in pristine condition. So they’re particularly special finds.
L to R. Rings, House of Lavande, Stephen Dweck, Vintage, Vintage#inline_05

Bracelets, Unknown Designer#inline_06

L to R. Necklaces, Lanvin, Vintage, Chanel, Jen Kao, Lee Angel.
#inline_07

This is a Badgley Mischka costume piece that looks really glam on. I usually get more comments when I wear this piece, than pieces three times as valuable. It’s a testament to the value of well-done costume.Necklace, Badgley Mischka#inline_08

J’Adore…that’s my only word.
Jacket, Balenciaga#inline_09

Bag and Belt, Fendi; Bracelets, Fenton/Fallon; Cuff, Hermès#inline_10

This piece is a couple of seasons old but I love the asymmetric-infusion of black -on-white leopard print and the beautiful one-shoulder silhouette. It is a graphic, timeless piece that is so quintessential Nicolas Ghesquière; I don’t think I’ll ever part with it.Top, Balenciaga

Two effortlessly chic pieces… for home and hand.Bag, Hermès

This is a selection of the antique books on top of the bureau in my dressing room that date back to the late 18th century. Some of them were from my husband’s grandfather, who was an avid collector of first edition novels; and, a few of the others are auctions buys.
From top left. Ring, Vintage; Ring, Vintage; Ring, Stephen Dweck; Cuff, Alexis Bittar; Ring, Vintage; Ring, Vintage; Necklace, Ippolita; Ring, Yves Saint Laurent#inline_11

I think Eddie is one of the most innovative and inspiring costume designers out there today. I cannot get, or shoot, enough of his pieces. And, to top it off, he is one of the nicest, hardest-working young designers out there… as if anyone needs more reason to love him!Bracelet, Eddie Borgo#inline_12

This watch is one of my most coveted pieces. It is the Van Cleef Cadeñas, which was a watch originally designed for the Duchess of Windsor in 1935. In a time when it was not considered polite for women to wear watches, the House designed the Cadeñas so that it read like a bracelet, but only the wearer could see the small watch dial hidden within the clasp. I love it in plain yellow gold on a gold snakechain, it has a certain timeless elegance about it that is imbued with an incredible history.
Van Cleef recently announced they are stopping production on this piece, so I felt compelled to get one of my own before they were all gone.
Watch, Van Cleef & Arpels

This is an unsigned Modernist Dutch pendant from the early 70’s. I love the scale and graphic motif. The story behind the boy and girl figures depicted on the front of the pendant, however, remains a mystery. I like to think it’s depicting a love story.Necklace, Vintage
#inline_13

This is a textured leather jewelry box by Verdura. So luxe …All, Various Designers

Green clutch is Kate Moss for Longchamp. The cuff is Giles & Brother that Philip engraved with ‘Kate’ on the other side.
Clutch, Kate Moss x Longchamp; Cuff, Giles & Brother #inline_14

Pierre Hardy leopard print pony hair bag- I’m obsessed with this print…Pierre does the most perfect leopard.Bag, Pierre Hardy
#inline_15

Rings, Various Designers

DVF Sutra Bracelet by H.Stern is one of the chicest chain-link bracelets. It’s chunky enough to make a statement, but still has a sense of refinement and polish that betrays the elegant H.Stern sensibility. It’s the perfect everyday chain.
Bracelet, H.Stern x Diane von Furstenberg #inline_16
